Maybe I’m just late to the party, but it feels to me like there are more and more websites featuring decadent food photography.
Assuming that’s actually true — I think it’s at least in part because during work hours, it’s safe to fantasize about diving into this:
But this is another story:

Actually, I started to put a cute animal picture there, but I didn’t want it interpreted the wrong way.
In any event, the pasta picture is less likely to get me a writeup from HR if the wrong person comes looking over my shoulder. Food pics are safe for work, and that’s going to attract eyeballs between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm.
That’s my theory anyway.

The pesto pasta “recipe” starts with 1/4 lb (when dry) penne pasta. Cook the pasta, rinse with cool water, and shake it out. Add the pasta to a bowl and drizzle with a little olive oil to moisten it slightly. Add about 3 TBP of pesto, and 2 TBP grated parmesan. Pepper. Taste before adding salt — the parmesan has a lot of salt in it already.
..And here’s the cute animal pic:

Great picture of the pup!!
BTW – NEVER RINSE THE PASTA. You want the starch on it so the sauce sticks to it better.

Meh. I was aware of the “dangers” of rinsing, but the sauce stuck fine. I wanted to cool it off fast anyway.
