Here is your weird World Series stat of the day:
Albert Pujols is hitting .278 in the 2011 World Series with an OPS north of 1.200.
Pujols had 5 hits and 3 home runs in game 3.
In the other 4 games in the series, he is 0 for 12 with 4 intentional walks, yet has only managed to strike out once.
A perfect example of why sample size matters.

They keep calling his performance “epic.” How Epic is it if you didn’t score an RBI that your team would have still won? If the Yankees do not get Reggie’s 5 RBI they lose the game, instead they clinch the series. How epic is it if the Rangers win the series?
I just wonder how old Albert really is. Is he going to start falling off the cliff soon.
